Desktop Publishing Workshop
This training workshop teaches technology skills to create innovative and community-specific print language materials. Workshop participants are required to commit to three full days of participation. This workshop provides hands on training and technical assistance focused on the following technology skills:
- Native language-specific keyboards developed and provided by ILI following Unicode universal font encodings.
- Microsoft Publisher features to produce dynamic print products
- Scanning technology to add locally produced and culturally appropriate images (e.g. artwork, photos, etc.) to accompany Native language text.

Three Options for Participation
- These workshops may be provided as part of the IBM-sponsored, “Regional Tech Knowledge Workshop Series”. Details will be available on this website a specific workshop plans are finalized.
- These workshops may be provided in designated tribal sites on a contract basis. Please contact the Workshop Co-ordinator at (505) 820-0311 for specific details.
- These workshops may be scheduled at the LMDC’s Tech Center located in Santa Fe, NM. Workshops for this location will be scheduled on request and subject to availability of training facility.
